Take off the parking brake while landing
Next time you fly USAIR make sure you have the flght
attendant check that the pilot has the parking break off during
landings!!!
What a great way to reduce your landing roll!!!
The story is the guys were at cruise trying to figure out how to BS the
ACARS. They cycled the PB [parking brake] handle several times while
resetting various other system breakers trying to dump the Out time.
Apparently they forgot to put the PB handle back to the OFF position! If
you try it in flight, there is an amber memo on the ECAM warning you ...
No blue on the left ... but they missed the amber on the right :-)
I guess the captain got a week off for the stunt ...
I would say he lucked out!
